16 Weeks Out
February 1, 2016 was my start of 16 weeks out. I wanted to start official prep Feb 15. By official prep...I mean when I start cutting. I scheduled it the day after Valentine's Day for a reason. I had an amazing pasta dish with all the appetizers and of course, a great dessert to kick it off.
My first competition is May 21 and I am currently 16 weeks out. I have been "bulking" since August 1 so about 6 months. For my first show, I was very lean to begin with and only prepped for about 6 weeks...and that first week was in Jamaica on my honeymoon so I ate ice cream and treats whenever I wanted.....I placed my first show, but the 4 weeks I did prep, I was extremely strict (too strict) and ended up looking very thin at my show rather than muscular.
That is why this time around I am making sure I give myself PLENTY of time.
My Current Stats are as follows:
Age:25 Height: 5' 5" Weight: 130
Calories: 2300 Carbs: 300 Protein: 140 Fat:65
In all honesty, I wanted to get up numbers way up but it is a struggle to eat this much.
For the first two weeks for prep, I am going to keep my numbers the same. The only change I am going to make is to wait my sugar/the amount of process foods I am taken in.
I've been feeling extremely bloated and sometimes after dinner, I'll realize I've only had 200 carbs and so I eat half a cereal box and whatever else to reach my number. I'm not exaggerating either.
My workouts are going to be the same.
Even during my "off season" (I really feel like your never really "off"), I worked out 5-6 days a week of lifting only. I never did cardio. My workout schedule looks as follows:
Sunday: Heavy Back Day. I tend to do Deadlifts on this day
Monday: Rest Day
Tuesday: Heavy Leg Day
Thursday: Shoulders, calves
Friday: Rest day if I need it, if not, full body workout
Saturday: Glute Focus Leg Day
